Apple's iTunes music store went down today at 2:00pm GMT to be replaced with the cryptic message:
It's Showtime
iTunes store is being updated
Is it the movie store we've been expecting? Routine maintenance? Only time will tell... watch this space!

Woo! I did it once, it died and now it's back... My emulated Mac once again has internet access! The only thing it's lacking now is sound but I'm sure that'll come in a later build of PearPC... this rocks!
Oh, and anyone notice how even Microsoft stuff looks pretty on Macs? Maybe the MS Mac team should join the Windows crew and start showing them how it's done!
By request, I've added an image... see the MS Office icons in the dock (no pun intended, MS history watchers)? Never will we see anything that pretty on Windows! Ignore the machine's speed by the way, it varies by what I'm doing in Windows at the time and I had some heavy stuff in the background.
Err... almost, anyhow...
After so many years of Windows (and more recently Windows XP/Server 2003) I've finally used an up to date Apple OS... I ran OSX Tiger!
It's running on my PC but since I don't have a CPU that supports SSE2 or SSE3 the only route I could go was to emulate a PPC Mac and the emulator I'm using, PearPC, though only at Version 0.4 does a wonderful job of that! It's a little sluggish in places I'll admit but I say it'll be fine a few maybe a couple of tweaks and maybe a release or two down the line... The speed is mostly down to my fairly weak system but to emulate a G3 is no simple task! It can operate in G4 mode but that seems little flakey right now... still, Tiger reports that it's running on a ~750-800MHz G3 depending on whatever I'm doing in the background in Windows and it gets (a configurable) 128MB RAM to play with.
Right, I'm off again to play with the pretties and animated thingies before I pass out from lack of sleep... Adios all!
Hrm... I just typed the obligatory Hello World post you see below and I suddenly realised how many people have used "Hello World" as a blog post title... then I realised how many people must've written that short phrase over the years... two short and simple words and yet they're so often used...
Man, how many people have used that as a blog entry title?
Meh, I'm here, I'm on Vox... hopefully this means I'm gonna blog regularly again..
See you all when I start using this thing properly. ;)
